Monochrome Laser Printer

Printer Code : IBM Network Printer 12
Fuji-Xerox 12 (FJX12) engine-based printers, IBM Network Printer 12 and Apple LaserWriter 12/640, were introduced in mid-1996 within only a month of each other. Near the end of 1997 and in early 1998, NEC and Xerox introduced their own versions, the NEC 1200 and Xerox P12. All these printers feature a print speed of 12 pages per minute, 600 dpi print resolution and several options such as additional paper trays and duplexing. The Network Printer 12 also offers vertical and horizontal edge-to-edge printing. Target markets for these printers included mostly small workgroups.

The FJX12 cartridge is relatively easy to remanufacture. Once two cartridge pins are removed, the cartridge separates easily into the waste bin and toner hopper sections. All components are easily accessed and replacements are available for most of the components. The doctor blade is the most unusual about this cartridge. Comprised of a stainless-steel shim with silicone applied to the working edge, the doctor blade closely resembles the Fuji-Xerox XP15/20 with a shorter length.
